Satisficing is choosing a compromise that sufficiently satisfies the design needs of competing visions, especially of a diverse committee. It is not an optimal solution unless the reality it serves is simplified.

In this short video by Design Thinking professor Jeanne Liedtka, she is not kind to satisficing. Liedtka propose strategies to get beyond satisficing -- the main take away is that getting proper design criteria leads to non-controversial, correct solutions.
